The suspect has been described as a white male in his late 40s to early 50s and about six-foot-two. He has short gray hair, a pale complexion and was wearing a light colored button-up shirt with blue dockers.

The description was provided by a witness who spotted a man acting suspicious in a lab at around 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to UNFPD. The man was reported to police after the witness heard about the stolen books.

Nothing other than textbooks have been reported stolen.

UNFPD is asking for help from the community to identify the suspect and report future incidents.

“Three-thousand sets of eyes is better than 32,” said UNFPD Chief Frank Mackesey. He encourages anyone who sees any kind of suspicious activity or knows anything about this incident to call UNFPD at (904) 620-2800 or email at [email protected]
