Dallas Moore earns national accolades two years in a row

Even with his college career behind him, Dallas Moore is still earning accolades for his impressive play on the hardwood.

The left-handed guard was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District First Team, for the second straight year. Members of the NABC decided that Moore played so well during his final season that he deserved a spot on the squad again.

Moore has also earned Associated Press (AP) All-America Honorable Mention for the second straight year. The AP puts together a list of the best college basketball players nationwide each year, and Moore played well enough to earn this national accolade.

Head coach Matthew Driscoll spoke glowingly about the greatest basketball player in UNF’s history.

“Dallas has done so much for our university, our basketball program and myself, that it is hard for me to put into words how proud and excited we are that others are recognizing his greatness at a national level,” Driscoll said.

The starting guard is in the top 10 for every career category the university tracks. He leads UNF and Florida division one basketball in career points, scoring 2,437 points, and outscoring the next closest Osprey by 880 points. Moore has also made over 900 field goals and has played the most games and minutes as a UNF player.

Moore plans to continue training with Coach Driscoll in Jacksonville after college, as he hopes to go to the next level in the draft in June.
