Time for a little sun, sand

This is the last issue of the Spinnaker for the semester. We are just as worried as you are about what you will do without us. Where will you get your cutting-edge news? Where will you receive your oral sex tips? Unfortunately, it looks like you’ll be lost until our next issue in June. For now, we’ll leave you with some guidance for summer fun. And remember: Don’t do anything that we wouldn’t enjoy.

Lemon Bar: The Lemon Bar in Neptune Beach now offers a “semi-swanky taco stand.” Corner Taco features Mayport shrimp, mahi mahi, and skirt steak tacos for $3 each. Regardless of the food, you can’t beat Lemon Bar’s signature frozen cocktails and superb atmosphere.

Jacksonville Beach Summer Jazz Concert Series

Thirsty Thursdays are back, offering Buds for a buck.

The Jacksonville Sharks are J-Ville’s professional arena football team.
They play the Orlando Predators April 30 at 8 p.m. at Jacksonville’s Veterans Memorial Arena.

The Players Championship is “enhancing the fan experience”
New for 2011, The Players will feature six spectator areas around the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass designed via fan feedback from last year.

The Third Annual Craft and Import Beer Festival promises to be even bigger than last year. Over 35 different beer breweries will set up shop at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Area providing you with well over 200 beers to taste. Also, several local restaurants are participating and serving up some grub to pair with the beer samples.
