The charge of false imprisonment has been dropped against Clayton D. Cook, who was arrested April 26 with Matthew I. Khosrozadeh, according to public records found on the Duval County Clerk of Courts website.

“I’m innocent,” Cook said in a phone call to Spinnaker May 12. “You can post that I’m innocent.”

Cook was previously charged with one count of false imprisonment and two counts of possession of a fake driver’s license. The charges of possession of a fake driver’s license have been diverted, meaning that they will be dropped after Cook has completed tasks assigned to him by the court, such as completing community service hours, taking a class or paying a fine.

“Everything in that story was false, the police report, my paperwork that I have states that,” Cook said.

The charges against Khosrozadeh have not been dropped, according to public records.
