Hillary Clinton holds the lead in the latest poll of likely voters by the Public Opinion Research Laboratory (PORL) at UNF. The poll shows Clinton as ahead in both a four-way and head-to-head race scenario.

The poll shows Clinton leading with 43 percent while Trump follows at 39 percent. Johnson is at 6 percent, Stein at three, and nine percent of voters are left undecided in a four candidate contest.

The one-on-one matchup between Clinton and Trump has tightened since early October, with 46 percent of respondents saying they would vote for Clinton over Trump.

“This poll has an even distribution of Democrats and Republicans, however, in this election, democrats are outperforming their historical norms in absentee and early voting,” said Dr. Michael Binder, PORL faculty director.

Binder continued to state that if this trend continues through Election Day, Clinton could easily win Florida.

In the Senate, Marco Rubio leads Patrick Murphy 49 to 43 percent, and Amendment 2 is poised to pass with 73 percent of those surveyed saying they would vote yes.

This statistic is four percentage points lower than that of the PORL’s last poll, but is still above the 60-percent threshold required for it to pass. “Interestingly, and just like in or last poll, all age groups and parties support amendment 2,” Binder stated.
