AASU to host special keynote speaker for Black History Month

Dr. Michael Eric Dyson will be the Keynote Speaker for Black History Month at the Robinson Theatre Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. Dyson is a professor, lecturer and author who addresses issues of race and culture. Both Christian Century and Rolling Stone have published his work.

His presence at UNF is one of the main events the African American Student Union planned for Black History Month.

Students to battle the legality of lighting up in open discussion

Students, faculty and staff have the chance to discuss the legalization of marijuana Feb. 24 as part of the UNF American Democracy Project’s “Talk of the Time” series. The event will take place in room 3703 of the Student Union at 12:30 p.m. Dr. Mary Borg, Dr. Paul Mason and others will facilitate the event.
