UNF Environmental Center encourages conservation with ‘Recyclemania’The Environmental Center kicked off Recyclemania Feb. 7, an inter-dormitory competition to see which area can recycle the most garbage. The 10-week competition lasts until April 2 and encourages students, faculty and staff to be conscientious of what they throw away. The Environmental Center will submit the amount of trash and recyclables produced each week on campus to the Recyclemania website.

Recyclemania is a nationwide competition against other colleges and universities with the goal increasing awareness and participation in recycling programs.

AASU to host monthly member meeting

The African American Student Union (AASU) will hold its monthly member meeting Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. in building 58, room 3703. Members of the organization can vote on upcoming events, discuss events taking place during Black History Month and find out how to get involved. The event will include free food.

Dr. Chad Masters to speak at AMSA meeting

The UNF Chapter of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) will be presenting Dr. Chad Masters, M.D. Feb. 9 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Student Union Ballrooms during their second meeting of the semester. Valentine’s Day Card Making for Wolfson’s Hospital and a blood drive to be held on Feb. 15-17 will be discussed at the event. Food and refreshments will be served.
