The nonconference portion of North Florida’s (3–8) season has gone into a tailspin, with the Ospreys dropping the last five straight games. The latest loss was at the hands of Arkansas (8-1) to finish off North Florida’s brutal three-game stretch against Power Five opponents.

The team as a whole performed well, shooting 46 percent as a squad with 40 percent from the three-point line. However, the Ospreys did not have the depth to keep up with the Razorbacks and were dominated in bench points 36 to 6.

Dallas Moore earned his place on the court once again, leading both teams with 34 points on the game. The sum was double the points of Arkansas’s leading scorer.

The surprise performance of the game was senior guard Aaron Bodager who stepped up and went 4 of 9 from the arc and totaled 14 points. This is an encouraging sign for the Ospreys given their change in the starting lineup.

North Florida showed a different look for the game with four guards and one forward in senior center Romelo Banks. A change forced on Coach Driscoll by the suspension of senior standout Chris Davenport.

Unfortunately for the Ospreys, Banks wasn’t able to contribute much on his own and was shut down in the paint for only 4 points and 5 total rebounds.

Despite the struggles in the size department, the game was competitive with 11 lead changes on the game, but in the end the Razorbacks pulled away with a 91-76 win. The Ospreys will next hit the road again to try to get back on track against Texas Rio Grande Valley on Dec 12.
