UNFPD met with a student in reference to a stolen skateboard on Nov. 21.
According to the police report, the victim stated he left his skateboard at the Osprey Cafe on Nov. 18. When he returned three days later, an unknown suspect had stolen his board.
The officer searched the area, but was unable to locate the missing skateboard. No cameras in the area recorded footage of the board rack. Patrol efforts have been suspended.
And another one
Another skateboard was reported stolen from the same rack outside the Osprey Cafe on Nov. 22.
The police report states the student stated he left the board at the rack around 3:30 p.m. only to discover it missing when he returned at 4 p.m. The student said he did not secure the skateboard with a lock.
A search provided no results and no photographic evidence of the theft was obtained. Patrol efforts have been suspended.
Lost and found
A student’s missing bicycle was found and returned to her. According to the police report, an officer met the victim of the theft at the bicycle rack near building W of the Osprey Landing on Nov. 22.
She told UNFPD that unknown suspect(s) had stolen her bicycle. An investigation revealed that the bike had not been secured with a lock.
The bike was later found to be located near UNF Drive at I-295. It was then taken to the UNF Police Station by Physical Facilities, where the victim was contacted and able to pick up the bike.
The case has been cleared.
