Update 9/7 at 6:05 p.m.:

“This is just a dare, and I wanted to see if y’all noticed that my penis was out.”

This is what two women were told as they attempted to assist a man in locating Alumni Hall, according to the police report.

The women were locating Alumni Hall on their phones, the report states, when the man said the aforementioned quote. Both victims said they saw the man exposing himself in the vehicle.

One victim told police she could smell a marijuana odor coming from the vehicle and noticed that the man’s eyes were red.

UNFPD officers searched the area but found nothing, the report states.

Spinnaker contacted UNFPD just before 5 p.m. today, but no new information was available.

The UNF Police Department is searching for a man who allegedly exposed himself to two women near Osprey Cove, Building V, according to an Osprey Update.

The incident occurred Wednesday, Sept. 7, just after midnight.

The women claim the man was sitting in a 2016 black Hyundai Veloster GT hatchback, when he called them over to his vehicle and pointed out he was exposing himself.

The email describes him as a “dark-skinned male with brown hair and brown eyes.”

UNF said if a stranger calls to you, or asks you to approach a vehicle, do not approach them.

The university encourages students to report any suspicious activity to UNFPD, lock doors and windows and let friends know where you’ll be and who you’ll be with. For more safety tips, visit the UNFPD website.

Spinnaker reached out to UNFPD for comment and will update when more information becomes available.
