UNF’s basketball team and alumni have come together to form a new sponsorship. The Pratt Guys, local outdoor designers who specialize in pergolas and outdoor kitchens, recently announced a three-year sponsorship deal.

The brothers and co-owners Adam, Derek and Jason Pratt have strong ties to the Osprey community. Jason attended the university on a full ride from the Success Scholarship program and is now a board member of the UNF Alumni Association. Both Jason’s wife and father are also UNF graduates.

“I will be forever grateful for David Stein and UNF for giving me the opportunity to get a great education that helped me build a successful small business with my brothers here in Jacksonville,” Jason Pratt said.

The money from this sponsorship will help pay for the video board as well as other things like the branded pads with the company’s logo that can already be seen covering the existing hoops. After the board and other costs are paid off, the money will begin to go into athletic scholarship funds and operating cost for the arena.

“It’s great. I love it. It’s what we strive [for]. We want UNF Alumni to be proud of our athletic programs and be a part in supporting them whether it be buying tickets or buying advertisements,” said UNF Athletic Director Lee Moon.

The next men’s game will be at Arkansas on Sat. Dec 10, tip off is at 5:30 p.m. The women’s team also plays on Dec. 10 at 1:00 p.m. in the UNF Arena against Edward Waters College.
