UNF Student Government elections are being held Tuesday and Wednesday. The ballot features a proposed amendment to the Student Government Constitution and two plebiscites – a nonbinding referendum on a law or significant public issue.

The amendment, the Baker Bill, would raise the required minimum GPA for Student Government members from 2.25 to 2.5.

The first plebiscite asks students if they would approve or oppose $0.15 of fee allocation for the Disability Resource Center (DRC) being redirected to athletics. The DRC currently receives $0.34 per credit hour in fee allocation, athletics receives $19.12.

The second plebiscite concerns Florida Bright Futures during the summer semester. Currently, Bright Futures does not cover students’ fees during the summer. Student Government would like to know if students would be more likely to take classes over summer if the scholarship was expanded to cover the cost.

Students have the option to vote in Osprey Plaza, outside the library, or online from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Voting will require your N number and password, similar to logging into MyWings.
