Baylor finishes season perfect 40-0, win national championship

Under the massive wingspan and dominating power of Brittney Greiner, the Baylor Bears became the first team to finish 40-0 in NCAA history April 3 as they beat Notre Dame 80-61.

Greiner led all players with 26 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks on the evening. The bears entered halftime of the championship game holding onto a six point lead and just twenty minutes away from its second national.

In the second half the team showed why it was ranked number one in the nation as it blew past the Fighting Irish. Baylor finished the game shooting 50 percent from the field and holding ND to measly 35 percent.

Greiner was named the most outstanding player of the tournament. The team beat Standford University, University of California Santa Barbara, University of Florida, Georgia Tech University and the University of Tennessee en route to its national championship.

Nike reveals new NFL uniforms

After years of being branded by Reebok, the NFL has turned to Nike to dress its players on Thursdays, Sundays and Mondays.

The uniforms have been changed in many ways, but for most teams it’s only slight. For majority of the 32 teams that play in the National Football League, the only difference was a change in the collar and a new sleek look.

The only team that made significant changes to its uniforms were the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks used the unveiling as an oppotunity to continue its rebranding.

An early indication from players who were at the unveiling show that Nike hit the mark instead of missed.

Ballsinga wins dodgeball intramural championship.

After finishing the season with a 10-2 record Ballsinga, captained by Isaac Stamm, headed into the UNF intramural dodgeball tournament as the fourth seed.

After a first-round bye the team faced the fifth-seeded Honey Badgers. In a close fought battle Ballsinga came away with an 8-6 win. The team breezed by the number one-seeded Flock of Moosen 11-3.

In the finals the team battled against the number two-seeded Tune Squad. In a back-and-forth match Ballsinga out played Tune Squad in the final moments and came away with a 13-11 win and shirts that showed the campus they were winners.
