Enterprise Editor Ryan Thompson says while the newness of Student Government’s ability to use the fees students have to pay in order for their classes to count mixes well with that 1972 bottle of house wine, the importance of SG’s ability to allocate responsibly remains extant.
After approving the amended language on the nearly $1 million campus dining renovations bill, the Senate approved the amended bill 30-7.
The special Senate meeting will take place at 8 p.m. today in the Senate chambers.

Among the night’s events included approved plans for campus dining renovations, a hearing of student concerns against Chick-fil-A, approval of two senators and funding approvals for intramurals and the UNF Student Wellness Complex.
Not only do some students feel discomfort at the thought of the politically charged Chick-fil-A replacing Sbarro, but many do not want to swap Salsarita’s with a Papa John’s.
Some UNF students just want chicken and waffle fries, while others don’t want their school paying for Chick-fil-A’s donations to anti-gay organizations to further restrict the rights of the LGBT community.
