Monday Sept. 12

Bystander Intervention Launch Party

When: 5:00 p.m – 6:30 p.m

Where: Student Union, Building 58W

The Women’s Center presents a film produced by UNF students raising awareness about Bystander intervention.

Forks Over Knives Screening

When: 6:00 p.m – 10:00 p.m

Where: Student Union 3703 – A & B Sections

Club Alliance and the UNF Vegan and Vegetarian Association show Forks Over Knives, a film about how rejecting processed and animal-based foods can prevent most diseases and adverse health effects. There’s also an all-you-can-eat vegan cookie buffet. Appetizing.

UNF Student Government Senate Meeting

When: 6:30 p.m- God knows when

Where: Third Floor Student Union East

Here comes the second senate meeting of the semester. There are parties now. The Divest UNF bill is on the cards again. A lot of people turned up at the last meeting. There really is no better way to spend your Monday night.

 

Tuesday Sept. 13

Twisted Tuesdays featuring Make Your Own Sugar Scrubs

When: 6:00 p.m

Where: Osprey Plaza

I don’t know what a sugar scrub is, but it’s free, courtesy of UNF Campus Life. Quantity is limited.

UNF Home Brew Club

When: 9:00 p.m – 11:30 p.m

Where: Student Union 3606 – Small Meeting Room

Beer is good and cool. The UNF Home Brew Club will screen “How Beer Saved the World” (History Channel). Afterwards, they’ll hold a meet & greet.

Wednesday Sept. 14

Osprey Productions Presents: Legend of Tarzan

When: 6 p.m and 9 p.m

Where: Student Union Auditorium

Aside from the movie, OP will be handing out free popcorn, candy, drinks, and other giveaways.

 

Thursday Sept. 15

Win it in a Minute

When: 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM

Where: Osprey Plaza

OP is offering quick games and prizes for students on their way to class.

Courageous Conversations: Racism and Reality

When: 2:00 p.m – 4:30 p.m

Where: Student Union Auditorium, Building 58W, Room 2704

The talk addresses current topics involving race, media portrayals for people of color in society and how technology affects racial issues.

How to Be an American Film

When: 6:00 p.m – 9:00 p.m

Where: Student Union, Building 58E/SG Senate Chambers

 

Friday Sept. 16

Clubhouse Friday featuring Osprey T-Shirt Exchange

When: 5:00 p.m – 7:00 p.m
Where: Osprey Clubhouse

Are you tired of wearing all your UF and FSU T-Shirts? Trade it in for a UNF equivalent! (Limited Quantity).

Women’s Soccer vs. Wofford

When: 7:00 p.m – 9:30 p.m
Where: Hodges Stadium

The UNF Women’s Soccer Team (2-3-2) returns to Hodges after a loss to Furman and a win over Presbyterian.

 

Saturday Sept. 17

Healthy Osprey Cab

When: 8:00 a.m – 11:00 a.m
Where: All Campus Locations(?)

Healthy Osprey is giving free rides to “around campus to class and/or your car” while giving a quick talk on health. This Saturday from 8:00 a.m – 11:00 a.m.

 

Sunday Sept. 18

Women’s Soccer vs. Campbell

When:1:00 p.m – 3:30 p.m
Where: Hodges Stadium

Mid-Autumn Festival

Here’s concert celebration featuring performers from Orlando and Jacksonville where you can enjoy traditional Chinese singing, Beijing Opera and music brought to you by the Confucius Institute. E-tickets are available here.
