Friday, July 29 — UNF School of Computing Pokemon Go Tournament

What: A Pokemon Go tournament is finally coming to a campus near you. Ospreys will check in at the Osprey Plaza then trek across campus to catch Pokemon with the highest combat power. Winners will receive monetary prizes ranging from $25 to $100 — that’s a fraction of the lab book you don’t want to buy. Register for the tournament here.

Saturday, July 30 — Girls Rock Jax Camper Showcase

What: Show your support for Jacksonville’s youth by watching them perform live to original music. According to the organization’s press release, Girls Rock Camp teaches the city’s girls, transgenders and gender nonconforming youth how to rock on stage and in life. Tickets are $10 at the door. Ospreys can bring their little ones (12 and under) for free.

When: 3 p.m.

Saturday, July 30 — Jaxcot: Jax Around the World

What: Forty stellar food trucks will hang out at the beach this weekend to give locals a taste of international cuisine. Attendees will pay their way around the world, so admission is free. Ospreys can visit the Facebook event page for a full line-up.

When: 4-10 p.m.

Sunday, July 31 — Harry Potter Release Party

What: It’s Harry’s birthday, which means potterheads can purchase the script for “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” Celebrate with cupcakes, costumes, trivia and butterbeer. Tickets are $5 here. If you somehow forgot to preorder this book, you can purchase it for $30 (ticket included) here.
