UPDATE — 7/19/16 @ 11:43 a.m.

The traffic light at Eco Road and UNF Drive is now working again.

The traffic light at Eco Road and UNF Drive is currently inoperable. The traffic control box was struck by lightning, causing the light to go out.

Message boards have been put in place along the road to warn that the light is not working. Workers are attempting to fix the light as quickly as possible.

To ensure everyone’s safety, please be aware of traffic laws concerning flashing traffic lights. If a light is flashing red, stop either at the stop sign, before a crosswalk, or at a place where you can see the other roads at the intersection. Once you’ve stopped, proceed as if you were at a stop sign intersection. If a light is flashing yellow, drivers may proceed through the intersection cautiously without stopping.
