The UNF LGBT Resource Center will be hosting a candle light vigil Tuesday evening for the victims of the Orlando shooting. The event will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Peace Plaza, near the Mahatma Gandhi statue.

The event will mainly be focused on students and young people but members of the Jacksonville community are welcome to join. Kaitlin Legg, the LGBT Resource Center’s assistant director, said via email there will be an off-duty police presence during the vigil for additional security of attendants.
