UNF men’s golf finishes fourth place in Sea Best Invitational

The UNF men’s golf team finished the Sea Best Invitational at TPC Sawgrass in fourth place out of 15 teams.

The Ospreys racked up a final score of 884 (+44) after three rounds. The team shot a 292 (+12) in today’s third round. They finished 11 strokes behind tournament winners North Carolina.

Senior Joey Petronio was the best golfer for the Ospreys as he finished at +10, which was good enough to earn 13th place out of 81 golfers.

After shooting an 88 (+18) in round two yesterday, Osten Waite, UNF sophomore, shot a team-best 71 today, finishing the third round at +1.

Austin Padova, junior, and Taylor Hancock, junior, both shot 73 (+3) in the third round while Dillon Woods, redshirt freshman, finished at 78 (+8).

North Carolina won the tournament shooting 873 (+33). Rounding out the top five were Florida 880 (+40), UNLV 882 (+42), UNF 884 (+44) and Florida State 887 (+47).

The Men’s Golf team returns to action at the Suntrust Gator Invitational in Gainesville Feb. 14-15.
