UNF’s Brianna Frazier finishes ninth at national championships

The only UNF athlete to make it to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field National Championships ended her 2012 campaign Wednesday, June 6, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Sophomore Brianna Frazier recorded her second-fastest time of the year in the 400-meter dash semifinals, racing the distance in just 52.40 seconds.

She finished ninth overall and fourth in her heat, the second of the event.

The ninth-place finish was not enough to qualify for the final round on Friday, June 8, though Frazier still has plenty to smile about.

Wednesday evening’s finish concludes her most successful season yet as an Osprey.

This season, Frazier set UNF records in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 400-meter hurdles and 4×400 relay.
