The University of North Florida’s Physical Therapy Graduate Program ranked first in the nation, according to GraduatePrograms.com. The website is an online resource for prospective graduate students.

UNF’s Physical Therapy Graduate Program received its highest ratings in education quality and program value. The program’s overall score was a 9.41 out of 10. Rankings were compiled using 15 student-rated categories.

This is the second consecutive time that UNF has been ranked No. 1 in the Top 25 Physical Therapy Graduate Programs. In the fall 2015 rankings, UNF was one of two Florida state universities listed. The University of Central Florida ranks No. 7.

According to a UNF public relations release, Dr. Pam Chally, dean of the Brooks College of Health said that the program’s high rank shows that students feel they are gaining the knowledge and the skills to become generalist practitioners of a high-caliber.

“We’re delighted and honored that UNF students appreciate the quality of their education,” Dr. Chally said.

The Doctor of Physical Therapy is an entry-level degree, which can be earned post-baccalaureate and upon the completion of a professional education program at entry-level.

The three-year program at UNF is for a professional clinical doctorate, allowing the student to practice physical therapy following graduation.
