The University of North Florida women’s basketball team (0-3) lost its third Atlantic Sun Conference game 67-38 against the Stetson University Hatters (2-1) Jan. 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the UNF Arena. The Hatters took control of the game from the very beginning, and by the end of the first half the Ospreys trailed the Hatters 37-16.

The Ospreys came out strong in the second half by putting up five points in the first minute, but they struggled to keep the momentum rolling on their search for a comeback.

The top scorer of the evening for the Ospreys was Paulina Zaveckaite, senior, with 10 points and eight rebounds.

UNF women’s basketball will have another chance to go head-to-head with the Stetson Hatters Feb. 28. Until then the Ospreys have a game against Northern Kentucky to prepare for at the UNF Arena on Jan. 22 at 7:00 p.m.
