Osprey Shuttle Incident

A UNF campus shuttle struck an unoccupied car stopped in the intersection of Kernan Boulevard and Alumni Drive on the morning of Jan. 11. The car was involved in a separate crash occurring minutes before being hit by the shuttle.

The shuttle turned onto Kernan Boulevard from Alumni Drive and attempted to pass the stopped car, but the driver misjudged the distance. The driver of the stopped car sustained minor injuries from the first crash, but injuries were reported from the shuttle collision.

Band-Aid Bandit

UNFPD reported a wall-mounted first aid kit was stolen from the Science and Engineering building sometime between Feb. 1 and Feb. 9.

The kit was mounted in a 3rd floor hallway and valued at about $500. Patrol efforts have been suspended.

Decal Theft

A student contacted UNFPD on Feb. 9 after his Florida registration decal was stolen from his license plate while parked in Lot 18.

According to the report, the student went to class around 9 a.m. and returned to his car at 5:30 p.m., when he noticed the yellow decal was removed.

A survey of the area wasn’t conducted because the incident was reported one hour after the student noticed the registration decal missing and no fingerprints were taken. Due to lack of suspect information and other leads, UNFPD recommended the case be suspended.
