Market Days return to Osprey Plaza

The Student Union will be hosting a Market Day in Osprey Plaza Wednesday, Aug. 25. The Market Day offers students the chance to purchase a variety of different foods, jewelry and other popular vendors. This marks the second year of participation in the Market Days program.

Test your waters as a screenwriter with weekend workshop

The Division of Continuing Education will be offering a “Beginning Screenwriting” class in Building 43 on Saturday, Aug. 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants will get the chance to learn about plot construction, film stories and creating movie characters. The cost of the seminar is $89.

Non-motorized vehicles must dismount, stop at crosswalks
The BOT approved a new campus regulation that requires non-motorized vehicle (NMV) users to dismount their NMVs and walk their NMVs across the crosswalks on campus. Chief of Police John Dean said there have been several near-misses in terms of accidents on campus since the spring semester. Dean said students and faculty who do not comply with the regulation may receive a $30 ticket.
