Tweet from Evans announcing his return to UNF.

Bruce Evans is coming back to the Osprey’s Men’s Basketball coaching staff after a four-year stint at Georgia Tech.

He was an assistant under Head Coach Matthew Driscoll at UNF from 2009-2012. During the last four years, Evans was the Director of Player Development at Georgia Tech. From 2004-2009, he was the head coach of Lander University in Greenwood, S.C. and an assistant coach at Gardner-Webb University from 2000-2004.

Evans joins Associate Head Coach Bill Kennen and Assistant Coach Stephen Perkins on Driscoll’s staff as the Ospreys look to build on last-season’s A-Sun conference title. He will be expected to scout opponents, develop young players and help with recruitment at UNF.

He fills the spot vacated after Byron Taylor’s departure. Taylor left after seven seasons on the Ospreys’ staff to take a position at James Madison University.
