Having already won various national awards for areas of distinction and excellence, UNF can now add the title of 2018 Forbes “Best Value College” to its list of recognition.

UNF now ranks among 300 other schools nationwide to “to help students as well as families evaluate the likely return on their investment,” and was the only Northeast Florida higher education institute to receive this recognition.

“We’re pleased to be included on this list and take great pride in being nationally recognized by some very elite organizations for delivering an exceptional education at an extraordinary value,” said UNF President John Delaney.

In order for an institution to be ranked as a “Best Value College” by Forbes, they must reach a certain index standard regarding overall school quality, net price of tuition, net debt, alumni graduation and access for low-income students.

According to Forbes, they index institutions according to data made available by the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard and PayScale.

The Forbes list reportedly evaluates institutions offering four-year degrees and does not include for-profit schools. In-state tuition is used to index and evaluate state universities.

In addition to Forbes “Best Value College,” UNF has also recently received other national recognitions for the year of 2018, such as U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 “Best Online Programs,” Kiplinger’s Personal Finance’s “Best College Value of 2018,”  and 2018 “Best Colleges” by College Factual.
