The UNF Esports Club will be hosting a summer kickoff party on Sunday, June 24 featuring a 6v6 Overwatch tournament and a 1v1 Hearthstone tournament.

The event will be held at the GLHF Game Bar from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. and TESPA, the Esports Club’s sponsor, will be giving out “swag” as doorbusters and prizes to attendees.

UNF Esports Event Coordinator Jonathan McRae told Spinnaker that he hopes this event will help garner interest in the club from students and additional sponsors.

“This event is just the first stepping stone to much more from this club, so be on the lookout this year for more events,” McRae said.
