Hannah Lee, Editor-in-Chief

In the main ballroom of the John A. Delaney Student Union, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students and local Jacksonville activists will be speaking to the Jacksonville community about their experience from the Parkland shooting on Feb. 14 and on gun control.

The town hall will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will end around 8 p.m.

Parking will be free at the Arena Garage starting at 3:30 p.m. on the second, third and fourth floor.

The event is free, however the organizers ask for people to RSVP on their Facebook page. At time of this publication, 134 people have said that they are going and 335 people stated that they are interested.

Bags will be checked for security reasons and there will be five to six security guards. Attendees will undergo hand-held metal detection upon entering the ballroom.

Spinnaker TV will be live streaming the event on unfspinnaker.com and on the Youtube channel “Spinnaker TV”. There will also be a livestream going on Spinnaker’s Facebook page.

Reporters Hannah Lee (@HannahLeeNews) and Lili Kendall (@LilianaKendall) will be live-tweeting the event as well.
