Fashion is a constantly evolving industry. While designers always seek to move forward, it’s inevitable that some trends from past decades will eventually find their way back into the limelight, like the wide leg jeans that our parents wore in the 70s that have made their way back in style. However, unlike past eras, there are no longer any rules in fashion. That being said, such a blasé approach to clothing can make it really easy for fashion faux pas to become a trending style.

The latest trend: a pair of 9-foot-long jeans known as the Extendo Pants.

The Extendo Pants were created by a company named Bronze 56K. Founded by Peter Sidlauskas in 2012, Bronze 56k is usually known for designing skateboards and skateboard attire. However, Sidlauskas’ marketing skills and unique designs have made headlines with the Extendo Pants, a pair of regular light blue jeans that extends to a size 35 in the waist and 105 in length.

That’s pretty extreme! But it leaves us with a few questions. For instance, how is it possible to wear these jeans without falling? Why are they selling out? Is it just a silly trend for laughs? If so, how funny must it be to get people to pay $500 for a pair of jeans? How do you fold or wear the Extendo Jeans?

According to the company’s website, these jeans are made to be worn scrunched up.

Taking into account how scrunched jeans were a popular trend around the early 2000s, these 9-foot-long jeans just might be starting to make some sense.

That being said, if you believe that these Extendo Pants are worth $500, you will have to wait until the next release. After all… they are sold out.
