*Correction: 1/25 @ 12:20 p.m. A previous version of this article stated that the charges for the golf ball buckets were no longer imposed on students and that the driving range was free for students. This was inaccurate and the article has since been updated to show that.
Any students who want to escape from the stress of college classes can head to the UNF Golf Complex where they can practice their golf skills for free (with their student ID). Students can attend the golf complex for free from Monday through Friday. On the weekend, the cost for students is $14.
The UNF Golf Complex first opened in 2002, the main features of the complex include a lighted driving range, lighted chipping and putting areas and a separate practice area in the back for the UNF Golf teams.
Previously, it would have cost students $10 to play a four-hole course. The golf complex charges $6.50 for a small bucket of balls and $10 for a large bucket of balls at the driving range, according to Director of Business Services Tully Burnett.
The complex is open from 8:30 am to 10:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday to Sunday. On Wednesday’s, the complex is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
