According to a Jan. 28 press release, the University of North Florida has been designated a Military Friendly school for the 2019-2020 year—it’s tenth year in a row.

According to the release, each year a Military Friendly survey is sent to more than 8,800 schools, and only 766 of the best were added to the final list, including UNF.

Of this report, Bob Buehn, Director of the Military and Veterans Resource Center and Alum of Naval War College, said “During each step of the college experience, from admissions to alumni, our staff is ready to help, support and encourage those who have served our country.”

Buehn backs up his words with a mention of expanded resources at the MVRC center, which includes a transition coach, scholarships, study rooms, kitchen facilities, office facilities, and much more. According to the release, these services are available to the 1,350 veterans or veteran-affiliated students of the school.

The survey targets student veterans and their institutions alike, and though the survey improves its standards each year, UNF has consistently met the mark.
