The following information is according to reports from the UNF Police Department.

Look out below

An unknown suspect threw two chairs from the second floor walkway of Building 14 onto the first floor March 1.

A UNFPD officer met with the complainant, a 53-year-old physical facilities worker, at 9:30 a.m. The complainant said he found the damaged chairs earlier in the day. The UNFPD report says a canvass was not conducted because the incident occurred early Sunday morning.

Patrol efforts have been suspended.

Student caught with weed, paraphernalia in Fountains parking lot

A UNFPD officer didn’t file any criminal charges against a student in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia because the student was cooperative.

The officer conducted a traffic stop at Osprey Ridge Road and Lot 55 because the student was speeding. The officer smelled marijuana when he approached the car. When asked about the smell, the student said he didn’t have any drugs or drug paraphernalia inside.

The student let the officer search the car, which was when he said he had a grinder with marijuana residue in the passenger seat. The officer also found a grinder with marijuana and one yellow Xanax pill.

Because of the student’s cooperation, the officer didn’t file any criminal charges, but he did advise that he be sent to Student Conduct.
