The Thomas G. Carpenter Library now offers phone and tablet chargers for student use. Android chargers, Apple chargers and wall adapters can be checked out for up to three hours with a valid Osprey 1Card.

“I think it’s really useful. My phone is always dying, so I appreciate it,” said Jacqueline, a junior education major who did not know the library was offering the service.

“It’s really convenient. It makes me smile,” said Sammy Walters, a sophomore health administration student who also said she was just talking about it.

Students looking to rent a charger can check one out at the front desk on the first floor. Chargers must remain in the library and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The service began on Monday, Feb. 22 and is funded by Student Government.
