Submit a News Tip

Use the secure form below to submit a news tip to Spinnaker. If you’d prefer to email us your tip, email tips@unfspinnaker.com.

Filling out this form does NOT permit us to associate your name with any story that may develop from your tip. Tips are effectively off-record, and we will only use your name in a story if you give us explicit permission.

Every good news tip has these 3 things

1. Evidence and/or documentation to support it. Speculation or having a hunch about something is not enough for a tip.

2. Clear and specific. A good tip avoids generalizations and concerns something specific. It should include as many details as possible.

3. Newsworthy.  Ask yourself: would Spinnaker normally write a story on this? If the answer is ‘No,’ then… maybe don’t submit the tip.

Why do I need to provide my name and contact to submit a tip?

We do not accept anonymous tips because we must have some way to verify the validity of a tip—if it came from a real person. This does not, however, mean your provided name or contact will be associated with anything we publish. News tips are effectively off-record, and we will only use your name in a story if you give us explicit permission.

A method of contact is required to submit a tip so we can reach out to you directly if we have questions about the tip you provided. We will reach out to you via your preferred method of communication.
