Macon Miracles: Ospreys advance to A-Sun Championship

MACON, Ga – The No. 6 seed UNF men’s basketball team advanced to its first ever Atlantic Sun Championship game Friday night as they defeated the No. 2 seeded East Tennessee State Buccaneers, 59-55, inside the Mercer University Center.

The UNF women’s basketball team erased a 15-point deficit and led by one with 2:30 left in its Atlantic Sun Tournament first-round matchup against Jacksonville University. However, late turnovers and clutch JU free throws ended the Ospreys season and proved to be too much for the Ospreys to overcome as they fell, 52-56.

Ospreys grab triple overtime thriller on senior night

But on senior night, Feb. 20, against an outmatched Kennesaw State (8–20, 6–12 A-Sun), the Ospreys (11–18, 8–10 A-Sun) fought through three overtimes to secure a 90-88 win over the Owls.
