From blowouts for and against the Ospreys to draws in double overtime, UNF had very mixed results in sports this weekend.

Oct. 10 held the bulk of the events. The women’s swim team (1-3) lost against Campbell 147-115, but won against North Carolina A&T in a decisive 213-40 score.

The same day, the volleyball team (16-5 overall, 3-2 A-Sun) avenged their Oct. 9 loss to Lipscomb by sweeping NJIT 3-0. Despite their superior overall record, the Ospreys are now in 3rd place in the A-Sun standings.

On Oct. 11, women’s soccer (4-9 overall, 2-2 A-Sun) ended the weekend on a flat note, losing their last home game to conference leader Lipscomb 2-0 despite a confidence boosting 3-0 win on Oct. 9 against NJIT. The loss put the Ospreys at fourth place in the Atlantic Sun conference. Their next test is on the road at Kennesaw State on Oct 16.
