An email from the Interim Associate Provost Dr. Daniel C. Moon said, “Dr. Andy King, who had served as the Director of the Center for the last five years, has stepped down.  We are very grateful to Andy for his commitment to the Counseling Center and the UNF community.  Effective immediately, Dr. Mike Malec will serve as Interim Director,” Moon said.

Moon also included that, “Enhancing student life and campus culture are priorities for President Szymanski and the entire University leadership team.”

Recently, Student Government President John Aloszka announced that a new counseling center satellite office on Candy Lake has been added to have more walk-in consultations during select days and times.

Spinnaker will reach out to Moon and King and will provide updates on this breaking story.
