UNF surf team heads to California for the third straight season to compete in the National Scholastic Surfing Association Nationals on June 19.

Corey Howell, captain of the team, is looking to bring home the gold medal back to UNF.

“We have came a long way as a team and each year we are growing stronger in skills, culture and support from Florida,” Howell said.“ We want to make history and be the first east coast college to win the National title. We are ready to do battle and committed to give it our all.”

The surf team has high hopes and has done exceptionally well over the past two years bringing home silver both times.

The competition starts on the 17th and will last until 19th, UNF will compete on June 19th.
