Where’s My Tablet?

UNFPD was dispatched to Bldg. 4 on Feb. 19 in response to a report of a lost tablet.

According to the police report, a UNF staff member stated that she may have taken her Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with her to the second floor restroom on Bldg. 4 prior to the end of her shift on Feb. 16.

The staff member reportedly did not realize her tablet was missing until Feb. 17, when she went to retrieve the tablet from her vehicle and could not find it in her vehicle or her residence.

The staff member says she then returned to work the next day and searched her office, but was not able to locate the tablet.

The report describes the tablet as a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 in a denim color case valued at $500, with a UNF decal identifying it as #00063284.

If You’re Looking For A Sign, This Is It

On Feb. 17, UNFPD responded to a report of damaged property at the Osprey Fountains.

The police report states officials discovered two parking signs torn out of their post and lying on the ground in front of the building upon arrival. Housing maintenance was reportedly able to recover the signs, and the posts themselves did not display any damage.

Due to high foot and vehicle traffic in the area and a delay in reporting, there are reportedly no known suspects or witnesses at this time.

UNFPD is waiting to conduct a follow-up investigation pending a request for video surveillance of the area.

Missing Work Keys

A UNF staff member met with officials at the UNF Police Station on Feb. 20 to report a missing set of work keys.

According to the police report, the staff member works for the UNF physical facilities and was last was in possession of the keys while working in Bldg. 6. The staff member claims he then went to Bldg. 45 and noticed his keys were missing.

The report states that the staff member checked the surrounding areas and buildings but was unable to locate the work keys.
