Women’s Soccer shuts out Appalachian State

The UNF Women’s Soccer team has continued their winning ways as they defeated the Mountaineers, 1-0, Thursday, Sept. 6.
The Ospreys have bounced back these past three matches as their winning percentage is now .500 with a 3-3-0 record.
Sophomore Midfielder, Thais Reiss, scored the only goal in the match (3’), her second of the season so far. The goal was also unassisted. Freshman Midfielder, Kendra Hoffman, recorded two shots on goal in the match as well.
Redshirt-Sophomore Goalkeeper, Rhiannon Conelley, was lockdown between the posts, recording six saves. This was Conelley’s third consecutive shutout of the season so far.
Appalachian State recorded 16 shots in the match but no dice.
The Ospreys next match is on Saturday, Sept. 8 at South Carolina State at 4 p.m.
