UNF Athletics held Swoop Madness at the Osprey Village basketball courts and welcomed students with free food, games, and a T-Shirt swap.

Students, like Senior Information Technology Major Patrick Franza, had the chance to meet the UNF Basketball players and shoot around with them.

“It’s a great experience seeing them out here outside the arena and on a personal level,” Franza said

On the other side, players like Sophomore Elli Bartley had the chance to meet students and gain more fans at the games this upcoming season.

“It’s nice to go around and talk to everyone and tell them to come to our games,” Bartley said. “We don’t get to talk to a lot of people because we’re always practicing. It’s a good time to talk to people and for them to get to know us.”

The event included dance contests, a $5,000 half-court shot contest, and an overall positive experience between the students and student-athletes.
