After taking a week to come to a decision, President Szymanksi has named Dr. Simon Rhodes as the next Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs.

According to A Message From the President sent out through an Osprey Update, Szymanski believes, “Dr. Rhodes’ proven track record in student success and faculty innovation make him a great fit for the University now and into the future… He also has an extraordinary research record in molecular biology and in areas related to higher education administration including building strong chair-dean relationships and enhancing campus diversity as well as student development in experiential learning programs.”

The update concluded with the President thanking Dr. Pam Chally, who has served as the interim provost since October 2017.
