Students rescue mother, baby from overturned car

A mother and her baby were pulled from their overturned vehicle after it sped through Kernan Boulevard and landed in a ravine. After witnessing the vehicle lose control, two UNF students took part in the rescue efforts that saved their lives.

Jan. 19 – Drug violation (UNF Drive) – A speeding vehicle was stopped at 2:30 a.m. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. The driver admitted to smoking a joint. A search of the vehicle revealed a little more than 2 grams of marijuana hidden in the center console.
