Leftover property from the closed Sbarro restaurant was put up for auction last friday.

Bob Garner, VP of First Coast Auction, said the two-hour auction raised $8,500 in revenue.

Garner was also the auctioneer for the event.

The pizza oven used in Sbarro was among the items sold in the auction.

Jim Mousa, property retention manager, said the auction went better than he expected, with approximately 40 people in attendance. The crowd was mostly made up of restaurant owners.

Mousa said UNF usually holds two auctions per year.
