    Delaney receives contract extension

    The UNF Board of Trustees approved a contract extension for president John Delaney in a specially-called board meeting Tuesday.

    The new contract lasts until 2018 and was restructured to create more retention incentives. All changes to the contract are revenue neutral.

    Sharon Ashton, VP for public relations, said the trustees were extremely pleased with the contract because of the incentives to keep Delaney around longer.

    Carlo Fassi, SG president, said he is excited UNF is extending its contract with Delaney. Fassi said Delaney’s leadership ability will be a key asset for the university moving forward.
