What: Grab your friends to cheer on local poets and emcees as they face off in a battle of the arts, just remember to choose a side. Queen Sheba will, of course, represent team poetry while Mike Sick (or MiCxSiC) leads the emcees. Tickets are $10 here.

When: 9 p.m.

Where: Rain Dogs

Friday, June 17: Community Potluck

What: Get ready for the summer solstice with homemade food, bright music and community games. Remember to bring your favorite dish, playlist or game to share with the Ogier Garden staff, volunteers and students as this is a potluck style event.

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Ogier Gardens

Friday, June 17: GlowRage Paint Party

What: Party off the end of Summer A by dancing to loud music beneath LED lights and colored in glow in the dark paint. Tickets are $18-$20 here.

Saturday, June 18: Asian Food Festival

What: Celebrate International Sushi Day with Asian cuisine, entertainment, vendors and even an expo.
