Faculty study abroad development grants 2010-11

The International Faculty Grants Program is accepting applications for faculty members interested in international travel that will be used to prepare for and/or develop international study abroad opportunities for students. The total amount to be awarded for the 2010-2011 academic year is $20,000, and individual grants are available for up to $2,500. The deadline for applications is Nov. 12. Great American Jazz Series presents Scotty Barnhart in a tribute to Count Basie

The 23rd annual Great American Jazz Series will present two-time Grammy award-winner trumpeter Scotty Barnhart and UNF’s Jazz Ensemble 1 at 7:30 p.m in the Robinson Theatre Oct. 21. Barnhart has recorded with many acclaimed artists including Marcus Roberts, Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, Ray Charles and Tito Puente. Help for young adults who want to quit smoking

The Mayo Clinic is looking for young adults ages 18 to 30 who drink alcohol and smoke and are interested in receiving treatment to quit smoking. Participants will receive $270 for their involvement in the program.
