Women’s basketball Head Coach Darrick Gibbs had an exciting and positive outlook on the upcoming season. This year’s team has a lot of new faces and a different skill set than last year’s.

“I think we are a little bit more versatile, we are a bit more athletic, I think we will have some depth as we get some of our injured players back on the side, which will hopefully happen in the next couple weeks,” Gibbs said.

“So it’s good. I think we got a good collection, we can do a lot of different things in different ways on both ends of the floor,” he said. “I think it is going to be a really fun year. A fun group to watch.  Fun group to coach, they got a lot of personality. “

Women’s basketball kicks off its season on Nov. 10 on the road against Florida State University.
