Men’s basketball host Stetson in ASUN rematch

Men’s basketball comes home to square off against the Stetson Hatters for the second time in a week at the UNF Arena on Feb. 3.

The Hatters (10-15 overall, 2-6 ASUN) continue their road trip and visit the Ospreys following a nail-biting loss to Jacksonville, 68-67. Senior guard Luke Doyle scored 17 points in their defeat to Jacksonville.

Divine Myles, another Stetson senior guard, is averaging 16.6 points per game while leading two other players averaging double figures.

The Ospreys (10-15 overall, 4-4 ASUN) look to bounce back from a road defeat of their own to Florida Gulf Coast, 103-70. Noah Horchler posted a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds in their defeat.  

North Florida is currently deadlocked in a two-way tie for fourth place in the ASUN with NJIT.

Ivan Gandia-Rosa is averaging 13.8 points per game for North Florida while leading four other Ospreys who average double figures.

In the previous matchup between Stetson and North Florida, the Birds of Trey grabbed a 73-65 road win on Jan.27. During this meeting, both teams struggled offensively from the floor and were held to under 40 percent.
