Fashion Show GIVE Event to promote healthy body image

The UNF Volunteer Center and Couture Helps Inspire Charity Club (CHIC) are hosting the “It’s Time to Rock Your Image” Fashion Show GIVE Event from 9 to 11 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, in the Student Union Ballroom, Building 58W, Room 3703.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about body issues faced by today’s youth. The fashion show will promote positive self-image. Designs from local designers will be shown on people of all sizes and body types.

Career Services holds STAR workshop for students

Career Services will be holding a workshop that combines parts one and two of the STAR Program into one session. The workshop will take place Feb. 18 in building 2 room 1100 from 11 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. The STAR program is a five-step certification series to help UNK students develop skills needed to successfully pursue their career.

This workshop would be especially useful for communication majors, with the program now being a requirement to graduate with your degree.
